Every year thousands of families are affected by the death of a loved one. While we recognize that death is part of life, for those left behind life itself can become difficult to deal with. Grieving the death of a loved one can be a painful and long process which can be made more difficult by everyday demands of life which do not allow for solitude and reflection. The founders, Maria and Hayden Elie, created this retreat in memory of their daughter Rachel, who was stillborn on February 10th, 2001. Since they have personally experienced the pain of losing a child, they have chosen to dedicate themselves to providing others that are grieving, a quiet and safe haven to grieve, regroup, and not worry about the everyday pressures of life.

We are a non-denominational retreat for families, couples and single adults who are grieving the death of a loved one.
